In the Spring of 2009 I presented the inaugural Pueblo Has Talent and it was a great success in many ways and a positive contribution to many in our community. We were privileged to have auditioned over 130 people at the Pueblo Mall and unfortunately, we had to turn away over 50 others potential contestants because of time constrictions. At the Semi-Finals and Finals some incredible competition took place as the audience and the celebrity judges selected a winner who received a $5000.00 cash prize and a beautiful trophy. What was discovered through that event is that there are some amazingly talented people in Pueblo who are very Gifted! These participants were provided the opportunity to perform in front of their peers, the public, and the celebrity judges that critiqued their performances. The top 15 were also provided with a Free Performance Workshop involving the celebrity judges and A Day at the Spa as preparation for finals night.
I am pleased present the 2nd Annual “Pueblo Has Talent.” This year’s talent search will prove to be an outstanding platform for local artists to present their talent to the public and an opportunity to recognize Pueblo’s Best!
Thanks to the generosity of the Pueblo Mall, we will be auditioning people at the Mall for two-days this year: Saturday, April 2nd 10:AM - 6:PM, and Sunday, April 3rd 12:Noon – 5:PM. Walk up registrations only (NO pre registration ) and NO registration fee. Everyone will be provided with 3 minutes to do their thing. Our panel of judges will select the Top 50 from those participants.
The Semi-Finals will be held on Saturday, April 9th 6:PM at Pueblo Memorial Hall. The Top 50 selected at the Pueblo Mall will perform and the audience and the panel of celebrity judges will select the Top 20 out of those participants. The Top 20 will be announced and will perform on Saturday, April 16th 6:PM at Pueblo Memorial Hall. The audience and the celebrity judges will select the 1st 2nd and 3rd place winners.
There is a $10.00 Admission Fee for the Semi-Finals and Finals night. The general public is invited to attend and enjoy a Great evening of family entertainment. Come out and support Pueblo’s own and cheer and vote for your favorite.
